Andrea and Tanner's Wedding | Jacksonville, Oregon

I admit, when I met this sweet couple, their story blew me away. It was filled with hope, redemption, and so much joy…so, getting to photograph their beautiful day was a true privilege. It was truly a day to remember. The details were all carefully planned, from the stunning florals to the seamless schedule of the day, and everything in between. It was filled with laughter and love, and these two and their daughter were surrounded by a community of people who had prayed and cared about them for so long…it made for a sacred and touching wedding ceremony!

Tanner and Andrea had been a couple for almost two years at the time of their wedding. They met when they were going to school, together, and their daughter was born when they weren’t together. This was an unique challenge that today, they are thankful for because of the way God knit them together. “At the time, the situation was a huge struggle”, they shared, “but God was working away in each of us separately, until He had humbled us and called us back to Him. We started dating when our daughter Lyla was one year old, and it was a blessing in all three of our lives. He saw that we had needed work, and his plan was the most perfect one for our lives”. Some of the core values that this pair shares include communication, like-mindedness, and their faith. Their favorite things to do revolve around their family, and they say parenting together has fostered their best memories. About ten months after their wedding, they welcomed their second daughter! They are the sweetest and most beautiful family, and I feel so lucky to have been there to share their day.

Congratulations, sweet Parker family!

Lavender Field Engagement | Oregon Destination Photographer

Sometimes, couples skip an engagement session. I understand why; the expenses of a wedding day or a destination trip can often make engagement photos seem like a luxury item that can be forgone. But I always encourage couples to invest in their love story, because they will never regret doing so. Your engagement season is one that you will never get back or relive, and it’s truly a season of change and excitement as you anticipate your wedding day. All of that joy is captured with an engagement session. Of course, you can choose any location for your session, whether it’s the comfort of your own home with a lifestyle session, or a destination that is very special to the two of you. As a wife and mother myself, I know how quickly life passes by, and how grateful I am that I have photos from our engagement, wedding, and the births of our children. Sometimes, those phases pass so fast, I barely remember them…photos are the sweetest way to make sure they can be looked back on for generations to come.

This beautiful shoot was done in the local Lavender Fields. Here in Southern Oregon, we are blessed with many different lavender farms, all locally owned and filled with the fragrant blossoms. They make for some truly. beautiful images, and traversing to this one with this lovely couple was a highlight of my recent session dates. If you are recently engaged, please contact me to book a shoot…don’t delay!

ENGAGEMENT SESSION ON THE OREGON COAST

When Chris and Esther contacted me about shooting their engagement photos on the Oregon Coast, I was so excited.  I love that we captured their love of the outdoors on the beautiful Oregon Coast outside of Bandon, Oregon.   Engagement sessions are a great way to get in front of the camera before the big day in a casual and fun environment.  It is also wonderful to have beautiful engagement photos for you to keep forever and remember this special time in your relationship before your wedding.

I love when couple's have an idea for a beautiful location that might even involve some adventure and hiking.  It was a beautiful cool morning on the coast but it really did pay off to venture to this beautify scenic Oregon location.  Contact me to book your engagement or couple photos and we will plan the perfect scenery to tell your love story!
